Health-System Management Education for Twin Cities Professionals who Remain on the Unit

York–Saint Paul health systems cannot spare every emerging manager for a residential year. This paper evaluates a Crownshire University health-management pathway used by nurses, clinic administrators and revenue-cycle leads who stayed in post. Capstones that improved a real throughput, documentation or scheduling problem were adopted more often than generic ‘leadership’ papers. Students on nights needed asynchronous clinics and a faculty who understood Minnesota staffing winters. Crownshire should keep health management distinct from clinical licensure and keep the York campus option honest: the same award, two delivery modes, no pretend that online students missed ‘the real hospital’.
