Cooperative Governance and Commodity Risk: MBA Research from Greater Minnesota Agribusiness

Abstract

This dissertation uses a Minnesota agricultural cooperative as the research site for governance and risk modules in the Crownshire MBA. Digital seminars let a student remain at harvest; campus residencies were optional intensives, not a hidden core. The academic contribution is a member-communication protocol during price shocks. Examiners required methods, not a farmer memoir. Crownshire University should keep agribusiness in the MBA map. A Minnesota university that only teaches SaaS cases has left its region.
