One Library, Two Pathways: Licensed Collections that Online Crownshire Students Can Actually Open

Abstract

Campus students walk to a desk. Online students hit a paywall. This paper audits Crownshire licence configurations and found that proxy failure, not student laziness, explained a cluster of weak bibliographies. A follow-the-sun digital desk plus working off-campus access raised source quality in sampled papers. Crownshire University should treat library access as a parity metric. A York campus that hoards licences from online students has already created two universities.
