Credit maps, stop-outs, and working adults—not a motivational seminar with a degree attached.
Online or on campus

Adult and transfer students are not a marketing segment; they are the majority of Crownshire’s dual-pathway reality. This MS treats transcript archaeology, residency rules, and identity-checked assessment as leadership problems for the institution and for the student who must manage a team while studying. You will interrogate PLA portfolios for inflation, design a meeting cadence that does not punish third-shift supervisors, and brief a registrar-style constraint as if it were an operations constraint—because it is. York campus evenings and the affordable ($600–$900 total) online pathway are the same award. You name primary mode at application. English proficiency follows Crownshire’s rule, including waiver for U.S. regionally accredited bachelor's. Identity-checked examinations sit at the end of modules whether you study from a kitchen table in Greater Minnesota or from a campus classroom after a shift. You will practise saying no to PLA inflation in writing, because a master’s that secretly converts work stories into credits is a second transcript. Advising artefacts in the curriculum are operations, not therapy. Faculty will mark whether your capstone names the constraints of a real workplace—union rules, night shift, caregiving—without turning the organisation into an unpaid research subject. Transfer maps must show what does not apply, not only what does. The degree is academic leadership studies. It is not ICF coaching, not SHRM certification, not a counselling licence, not a promise that every prior credit will apply. Public pages must say how transfer is actually evaluated.
Thirty-six credits: adult-learner systems, organizational process, ethics and labour literacy, and a workplace capstone. Three-credit courses. Identity-checked exams plus transfer-mapping artefacts.
